Georgia Congressional delegation vote summary on trade agreements

Since this is an election year, we thought that you might be interested in how our Congressional delegation has voted on the endless streak of so called free trade agreements. Since NAFTA was passed our country's trade deficit has mushroomed and our manufacturing base has moved to foreign countries. The trade agreements also open the door to increased immigration.

Sam Davis Youth Camp Band Fund

We have recently concluded the Texas Sam Davis Youth Camp and it was a tremendous success. This success was in part due to the Christian family (parents & 6 children) band, the Farnum Family of Galena, MO, that played every day for the Campers, providing music for hymn singing, an evening concert/sing-along and live music for dancing at the end of week cotillion.

Southern National Congress documentary - Preview 2

Thought many of you find this video documentary of interest. As we all know our country faces many problems. Most of the solutions being proposed are just - "more of the same." Perhaps it time to look at a different perspective ...

What is States' Rights? Part 4

In Part 1 of this series a concept was presented that runs a bit contrary to current public conception – that the term States’ Rights can be used more for partisan benefit than a true effort to protect the God-Given Rights of the people.  Part 2 demonstrated that as early as 1801 incursions attacking American Liberty had already started and have continued to this day. Part 3 gave details on an obvious expansion of central government powers (authority) by legislative action.

Taking the Tenth: The Last Hope

Washington is out of control. It does as it likes, without restraint. It spends American money and American lives to fight remote wars for which it cannot provide a plausible reason. It determines what our children will be taught, who we can hire and fire, to whom we can sell our houses, whether we can defend ourselves, even what names we can call each other. The feds read our email and track the web sites we visit, make us hop around barefoot in airports at the command of surly unaccountable rentacops. They search us at random in train stations without even a pretense of probable cause. We have no influence over them, no way of resisting.

Beware the False Alternative!

Well, they went and did it, despite all the hand-wringing, threats, blogs, demonstrations, name-calling, broken windows, and general political mayhem. Congress has delivered to President Obama his so-called health care bill, although bitterly opposed by more than half the American people. In the House of Representatives, where the final battle was fought, every Republican voted against it. We have to give them credit where it’s due.

Jefferson and Nullification

So wrote Thomas Jefferson, Vice President of the United States, in a document drafted at the request of members of the Kentucky legislature in 1798. Kentucky passed Jefferson’s paper and broadcast it to the world as the definitive opinion and stand of the sovereign people of the State. The language drafted by James Madison for similar documents adopted by the Virginia legislature in 1799 and 1800 was similarly unequivoical in its constitutional position and forceful in expression.
