Unbelievable - Republican redistricting plan - HB-499 has passed House ...
Another set of new districts and its associated court tests is
probably the lowest item of the list of things the majority of
Georgians would like to see this Legislature do. This seems to be
more of a payback to the Democrats by the now ruling Republicans.
Will Georgia ever have the same
districts two elections in a row again?

The bill has passed the house (click here to see vote) and is
on the senate Rules Committee calendar so has been reported our of
Senate Committee. We recommend that you call your State Senator and
ask them to drop this bill and do something useful.
We had trouble deciding under what issue to put this
information. After much discussion we decided that it is an example
of why we need more to chose from than just Republicans and
Democrats. They both care more about partisan power than the people
they are elected to represent.
