Follow the Money.
How many times have you heard
"Follow the money" when
people are talking about our political system? We hear it quite
often and it is a direct reference to the growing unholy influence
that special interests have today.
As many watch the 2008 elections unfolding, the impact of Big
Money is so obvious. On Presidential candidates the media focuses
more on how much money they can raise than their positions on issues.
But the System is Broken on more than just the Presidential
elections. Earlier this year we watched with dismay as Mississippi
US Senator Trent Lott - ignored the people of Mississippi - and
strongly supported the Kennedy-Chambliss-Isakson Amnesty bill.
What would make a US Senator ignore the people who he has taken
an Oath of office to represent?
Our guess was money. Not direct payments in the forms of bribes,
but special favors owed. So we decided to track Senator Lott and see
what he did in the future.
Last week we ran across the following Southern Daily News report
on none other than US Senator Trent Lott.
In the box below just
click on either the DSL or Dialup speaker image beside "Trent Lott and Big Money."

Southern
Issues on TV! You can make it happen!
If you have been following
either the actions of your government at all levels or the
current political environment there is a fair chance that
you are not satisfied. Unless you are a Party over Principle
Republican or Democrat it is fairly obvious to most
Georgians and Americans that we are losing our Founding
Principles.
