Legislative Alert - More on eminent domain - HR 87, a good
resolution this time
[note: This alert was issued during the 2005 Legislative Session
(March)
and has been reposted on our new section dealing with Eminent Domain
to get prepared for the 2006 Session and as background information
for next years elections.]
Between the secret meeting and property rights bills filed this
session it is refreshing to find a positive bill on property rights.
HR 87 is a resolution proposing a Constitutional Amendment to place
limitations on condemning private property.
The Libertarian Action Network was very instrumental in the
drafting and filing of this resolution and it looks like they have
done an excellent job. The Libertarian Action Network is an
organization that is geared toward bringing issues to the voters and
giving the voters a mouth piece for response to their elected
representatives. They are grassroots and believe in protest,
petition, and litigation.
We will publish web site and contact information as soon as
available.

We encourage you to take a few minutes to read this resolution
and contact your State Representatives and Senators and encourage
them to support his resolution. Also let them know that you are
tired of the special interests trying to get bills through the
Legislature, such as SB 5, that jeopardize your property rights!
