As many of you know, Alabama State
Finance Director, Jim Manes, instated a new Capitol Complex
policy prohibiting any further events to be held in the Capitol
building on weekends or weekdays after 5:00 PM stating budget
issues as the reason. (However, SpongeBob Riley just created an
$80,000 a year job for defeated Public Service Candidate Twinkle
Andress Cavanaugh as Exe assistant to Jim Manes! Go figger!)
Traditionally & historically, we
have always tried to hold this historic commemorative observance
on or close to January 11...the actual date of Alabama seceding
from the union. I have been frantically trying to find an
appropriate venue for our event for months.
Now...thankfully, Judge Roy Moore has afforded us the ground
floor of the building where the offices of The Foundation for
Moral Law are. This is the old Central Bank Building located at
One Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama. This is the first bank
that President Jefferson Davis went to seeking funds for the
Confederacy in 1861. So I am very pleased that we will be
meeting in a building that is truly historic to the BIRTH OF A
NATION! So this year, we are combining
celebrations/commemorations....
The Birth of a Nation ,Jan 11,
1861, Jefferson Davis' Inauguration Day, Feb 18, 1861 and George
Washington's Birthday - Father of our Country...Feb 22
This year we will be focusing of
course on the legality of Secession plus the Constitution and
the original intent of the founders and the economic structure
of the country. Todd Kiscaden of Abingdon, VA will be with us
again this year, focusing of course on our Southern origins and
Secession...Col John Eidsmoe, Prof. Emeritus at Faulkner
University, where he was Professor of Constitutional Law, will
be speaking on the constitution of course, but from a different
perspective from what you have heard before. This is going to be
a very interesting address by Col. Eidsmoe. Also, in view of the
economic crisis our country is in today, Franklin Sanders, West
Point, TN will be with us addressing this issue...from the
perspective of how & why all this came about but also, as
Southerners, what we are going to do about this....regarding our
survival. I believe this year's program will prove to be every
bit as spectacular as our mini seminar was last year.
There is
NO ADMISSION CHARGE - CONTRIBUTION ONLY - IN ORDER FOR US TO
