Poll on State of Georgia Outsourcing jobs to India

In a previous article, Your Tax Dollars At Work...Offshore, the use of your tax dollars to send jobs to India and Mexico was documented. In addition the future plans for some of these jobs to be sent to China was exposed. We believe that this in an abuse of both the citizens of Georgia and especially their tax dollars.

Senate Bill SB-12 was introduced in the 2005 Session to prohibit future State of Georgia tax payer dollars from being used to send jobs to foreign countries in call-centers. Current contracts would not be affected so this only prevents future abuse of your tax dollars. Senate bill SB-12 was held hostage in the Senate Committee and was not even brought up for hearings. For more information on SB-12, click here.

This poll is on the subject of

"Should Senate Bill 12 be debated and given a FAIR Vote?"

We believe that this issue concerns many Georgians and the Republican controlled committee should not "hold the bill hostage" but should hold hearing and report the bill out of committee so that it can be debated and voted on!

State of Georgia Offshoring

Georgia tax dollars are being used by the Department of Revenue and the Department of Human Resources to send jobs to India and Mexico. SB-12 has been filed to prohibit this practice, but has been held hostage in committee. Should this bill be given a FAIR Vote?

We believe that this issue shows a major disconnect between the will of the People and the actions of our elected and appointed officials. There can be no reasonable doubt that the majority of the citizens of Georgia do NOT support using their tax dollars to send Georgian jobs to India or other foreign countries!

IF OUR STATE GOVERNMENT RESPECTED THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE OF GEORGIA THIS WOULD NOT HAPPEN!

Please vote in the poll and pass the word on.
