Beware the False Alternative!

Georgia's Republican US Senators vote against effort to remove amnesty

If there was any question in the minds of Georgians about their two Senators support for amnesty, the vote on Amendment 1157 should be conclusive. Amendment 1157 would have removed the amnesty provisions from S. 1348.

Amendment 1157 failed by a vote of 29 - 66 and both Senators Chambliss and Isakson voted against the Amendment!

There is not much more to say. Despite what they tell you, despite what they tell the media, despite what their campaign promises were or are: when the time came to vote on just the issue of amnesty - they voted in favor of amnesty.
