To the thousands who have supported the Southern Party of Georgia web-site we extend a cordial thank you. The SP of Georgia
web-site is the highest ranked political web-site in Georgia and the
highest ranked Southern
web-site in the country.
On this page we list political sites of both those we agree with and those that we do not. The purpose is to show where
interest is reflected by Internet traffic. Those that we recommend have an * on the list below.
The up or down arrow gives the ranking trend direction since the
previous month. Note: the top ranking is 1 so the lower the number the
better.
Based upon the Alexa.com rankings, comments on August Georgia
Ranking:
The list has two additions this quarter, Let Georgia Vote and
Georgia Log Cabin Republicans. One site was not ranked for the last six
months and removed from the listing, Campaign Georgia.
The top five ranked internet site had no change in the first three;
Southern Party of Georgia, Southern Heritage PAC and Georgia Heritage
Coalition have been the top three ranked web site for almost a year now.
Boycott Coke moved up from the top ten to take 4th and the Let Georgia
Vote site was 5th for its first listing. Dropping out of the top were
Libertarian Party of Georgia (to 6th) and the Republican Party of Georgia
(to 13th).
Completing the top ten are Libertarian Party of Georgia, Political
Vine, Christian Coalition, Georgia Log Cabin Republicans (first listing)
and Let Us Vote.
The most improved for the quarter for the quarter was the Georgia
Christian Coalition and the winner of the biggest drop was the Republican
Party of Georgia which at 2,694,347 was the worst ranking from Alexa.com
since we started this chart. Will be interesting to see if the Georgia Log
Cabin Republicans maintains its initial ranking above the State Republican
Party web site.
It is interesting that the web sites that have consistently drawn
the highest Alexa.com rankings are the ones who political views receive
the least or most biased reporting in the so-called main stream media.
With two years of such a consistent ranking from the world's largest and
most respected internet ranking service it is obvious that many Georgians
are turning to the internet for political news and opinion. What ever the
actual size of this segment of Georgians represents, they will most likely
not be reflected in the so called main stream media polls for the
elections next year. So look for some surprises again in the elections.

note: Campaign Georgia and the America First Party of Georgia
have web sites but have not achieved a ranking in the last year and have
been removed from the chart until they do. From now on any site that stays
not ranked for six months will be removed.
note: The Green Party of Georgia, Veterans Party, Reform Party of Georgia and the Natural Law Party of Georgia have
web-sites that are part of national sites. They do not have State sites with rankings.

Notes on December, 2004 ranking:
The Southern Party maintains the top ranking, which it has held
consistently for the year and a half of this ranking chart. The Georgia
Heritage Coalition, Southern Heritage Pac and Boycott Atlanta retained
their top five ratings. The Political Vine dropped from the top five down
to the 10th slot representing a drop in traffic. Boycott Coke moved up to
the top five.
The next five ranked sites in the top ten were about the same as in
September. The Constitution Party was replaced by the Libertarian
Party. Campaign Georgia and the Georgia Reporter fell into not ranked.
The most improved ranking for the quarter was Boycott Coke which
improved its rating from 1,824,979 to 443,312 and moved from the 9th to
the 4th ranked site in Georgia. The Constitution Party had the worst
performance during the quarter. The CP rank dropped from 2,061,522 to a
ranking of 5,725,777. This is a drop of over 3,000,000.
The internet ranking of the top five in this chart and their subject
matter demonstrate clearly that a lot of Georgians are looking outside
what are considered normal channels for news and information. As
increasing number of citizens connect and use the internet this will be of
increasing importance in each election cycle.
Notes on September Ranking:
As you can only put so much information on one page, this has been
changed to a quarterly as opposed to monthly ranking report. Looks like we
forgot to load the June, 2004 results, so we have one missing quarter.
Most of the ranking were down. On political sites, which this list
is, national sites are grabbing a much larger share of internet traffic.
In a heated Presidential debate this is not very surprising. The largest
improvement since March has been Boycott Atlanta which has was too new for
a ranking in March, but has steadily risen to the third spot. The other
sites that showed a major improvement are Political Vine and the Georgia
Christian Coalition.
The two that dropped the most are the Georgia Libertarian Party and
the Let Us Vote sites.
Notes on March 18 Ranking Update:
Both the number 1 and 2 sites; Southern Party and Georgia Heritage
Coalition remained fairly steady with ranking at 30,000 and 52,000 both
comparable with most daily newspapers in Georgia. The third position was
maintained by the Southern Heritage PAC with a third consecutive month of
improved ranking.
Other sites showing improvement are Libertarian Party, Democratic
Party, Constitution Party and Christian Coalition. The Constitution Party
also has shown significant improvement for the the last three months and
has moved ahead of the Republican Party which is threatened with dropping
out of the top ten. The Christian Coalition improved for the fifth
consecutive month but remains above 2,000,000 which is still a
disappointing rank. As far as internet traffic on Christians issues is
concerned it is not going to the Christian Coalition in the numbers many
would expect.
Bill Shipp's site rose above 2,000,000 and it still amazes us that
anybody would pay to read the poor excuse for news that he publishes.
Next month and May will be very interesting as the two major parties
qualifying date is April 28. One would expect some major improvement in
their traffic rankings.
Notes on February 15 Update:
This ranking period contains the beginnings of the election year and
current Legislative Session activity. Sure enough there were some changes
in the traffic rankings, although none that are of a major type.
The Southern Party continued its number 1 ranking with its third
month below 30,000. The Georgia Heritage Council continued to show major
improvement moving close to 50,000. At these levels both sites have
rankings competitive with some of the major newspapers in Georgia. For
example the Macon Telegraph is ranked at: 46,371; the Augusta Chronicle at
27,685; the Savannah Morning News at 24,899; and Columbus Ledger-Enquirer
at 52,895. Many people will be surprised to learn that these two web sites
have traffic that is comparable to all but the largest newspaper in
Georgia. An increasing number of Georgians are turning to these sites as
they have lost faith in the biased reporting of the major newspapers.
The Southern Heritage PAC is now pulling away from the pack so to
speak. The Boycott Coke, LetUsVote, Libertarian, Republican and Democratic
Party sites remain in a second tier of ranking.
The Constitution Party and Christian Coalition have shown improved
rankings as would be expected with the Legislature in Session, but remain
pretty far back in the pack.
While internet traffic is just one component of the political scene
in Georgia, it is a feature which becomes more important every election.
Will be interesting to see how this translates into vote come July 20 and
November 2. If it does, the ranking information indicates there will be
some surprises.
Notes on January 9, 2004 Update - Some Good
News and Bad News for the Politically
Correct:
As the Legislature is convening in this election year, we will see
the web sites below (and possibly new ones) playing an increasing role in
elective politics. As a majority of the general population has internet
service, the level of interest in the message presented by web sites
becomes a tool that becomes more important every election cycle.
This months ranking report contains some good news and some bad news
for the Atlanta Chamber, politically correct and black caucus in Georgia.
The Good News for the PC - over the
last two months we have seen the Let Us Vote and Boycott Coke web sites
drop from number 2 & 3 in Georgia to number 4 & 5. The PC types never did
like these two web sites!
The Bad News for the PC - the number 2
& 3 spots have been taken by the Georgia Heritage Council and the
Southern Heritage PAC. The PC will not like these either. In fact they
will probably like them less than Let Us Vote and Boycott Coke! In fact at
the rate the Georgia Heritage Council and Southern Heritage PAC are
growing, they may surpass the Southern Party of Georgia.
Back when it was just the Southern Party of Georgia site competing
with the established sites some called it an anomaly and not significant.
In fact not one single major media outlet has reported any of this
information. But the results this month when viewed with the eight months
of history demonstrate something that can not be shrugged off.
The Southern Party of Georgia has maintained its position as the
highest ranked site in Georgia, and is beginning to pass or run even with
some of the major newspapers in the state. For seven months in a row it
has been ranked above or even with the Republican National Committee site.
Visitors have ranged as high as 4,000 a day and page views as high as
6,000 a day. Part of this success as determined by email feedback is the
lack of Truthful reporting by the papers. People are buying the papers not
for news, but so that their wives can get the shopping ads. An increasing
number of people just do not believe the news printed by the papers.
The steady rise of the Georgia Heritage Council and the rapid rise
of the Southern Heritage PAC above the long established Republican,
Democratic and even Libertarian Party State sites also shows that these
established sites are only preaching to the choir. We would be willing to
bet that both the Republican and Democratic Party pay more each week for
their internet facilities than the top five political sites in Georgia
combined - do in a year. In fact none of the top five even have a full
time employee, in their spare time, volunteers from these groups are
becoming the source of political information in Georgia and totally out
performing the established political sites.
It is interesting that the recent Mason Dixon poll showed that a
majority of Georgians want to Vote on the 56 Flag. The top five political
sites in Georgia support that view and have shown excellent traffic growth
over a period of time.
The next tier of sites do not support the right of the People to
vote and promote letting the Atlanta Chamber pick your Flag, sell your
water, jobs, education, etc. Government of the Chamber, by the Chamber,
for the Chamber just isn't selling well in Georgia.
So there you have the January Georgia Political web site ranking
report. The numbers direct from Alexa.com are listed below. Some will
laugh at it and discount it. But then those people
predicted Barnes with a run away 65% and have demonstrated how they
believe their own myths. So who cares if they laugh at it??? What will
count is who is laughing on November 3, 2004.
Notes on December 7, 2003 Update:
The Southern Party of Georgia maintains its
position, virtually unchallenged as the highest rated political site in
Georgia. For the seventh month in a row now, the Southern Party of Georgia
site has been ranked higher than the Republican National Committee site (www.rnc.org
at 31,484) and has narrowed the gap with the Libertarian national site (lp.org
at 18,083).
The Georgia Heritage Council has moved
back to second place, although new sites tend to move up and down for the
first few months.
Boycott Coke and Let Us Vote continue
to show improvement and have pulled away from the next group. The Georgia
Republican, Democratic and Libertarian Parties are cycling between 500,000
and 700,000.
The Georgia Reporter, Political Vine and
Bill Shipp form a fifth tier that cycles between 1,000,000 and
2,000,000. These sites have declined for several months and unless they
improve their traffic will be minor factors in next years elections.
The Christian Coalition continues to be a
surprise to us. With a third month ranked over 4,000,000 they are
certainly over rated in Georgia.
Notes on November 20, 2003 Update:
The Southern Party of Georgia maintains its position, virtually
unchallenged as the highest rated political site in Georgia. For the sixth
month in a row now, the Southern Party of Georgia site has been ranked
higher than the Republican National Committee site (www.rnc.org).
Boycott Coke, Let Us Vote, Libertarian Party, Georgia Heritage
Coalition and the Republican Party are in a band of ratings ranging from
about 300,000 up to 700,000 and are cycling around in that area. Will be
interesting to see if one or more of these sites begins to climb in
ratings in a few months when the campaigns begin to heat up a bit.
The Democratic Party, Political Vine and Bill Shipp form a third
tier that cycles between 700,000 and 2,000,000, mostly under 1,000,000.
These sites have shown little improvement for several months and unless
they improve traffic will be minor factors in next years elections.
The Christian Coalition continues to be a surprise to us. With a
second month ranked over 4,000,000 they are not going to have any web site
impact in the political process in Georgia.
The up or down arrow gives the ranking trend direction since October
22.
Notes on October 22 Update:
Southern Party of Georgia
continues to maintain the highest ranking in State without any real
challenge. The most significant change so far during October has been the
rapid rise of the new
Georgia Heritage Council site. In its first month, it has risen to a
solid second place rating, passing LetUsVote.org.
Despite the fact that LetUsVote.org continued its steady improvement in
traffic since it was added to this list in July. Certainly not
what the politically correct want to hear.
Boycott Coke was forth.
The Georgia Libertarian,
Democratic,
Republican Parties and the
Political
Vine and now Bill Shipp keep
flipping around in the next group, now the 5th to 8th slots. all of the
pundits would tell you that this group is the bulk of political interest
in the State. But as far as internet interest goes, they form a second
tier, even though they have 99% of the political funds and elected
officials in the State.
In this update we have added the
Georgia Christian Coalition
site. We were very surprised to see the very low ranking as we had assumed
that it was much higher. But when we got today's Georgia Christian
Coalition Alert message we noticed that they have abandoned the majority
of Georgia's citizens on the issues on their candidate questionnaire.
They have bowed to political correctness and
Republican party pressure and abandoned one of the most common Christian
symbols in the South. The St. Andrews Cross. Despite the fact that
the Constitution Party and Southern Party have taken much stronger stands
on Christian issues than the Republican Party we have noticed that they
only mention the Republican Party. It is not surprising that a
non-partisan organization such as the
Georgia Heritage
Coalition has zoomed past the
Georgia Christian Coalition
as a source of Truth and information for many Georgians.
Notes on September 8 Update:
Despite a lightning strike which destroyed two of the Southern Party
of Georgia systems, there was very little change in the rankings between
August 6 and September, 8.
The LetUsVote, Republican Party and Political Vine sites continue to
show improvement. Bill Shipp jumped three spots to return to 9th.
Notes on August 6 update:
There seems to be a trend of a drop in interest on three sites that have an associated theme, Bill Shipp, Democratic
Party and Georgia Reporter. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues. But to us there is no surprise. All three
support political correctness run amok in our State. People are getting fed up with the mentality that brings us searches of
80 year old grand mothers so that Moslem males are not offended.
The launch of a totally new and redesigned web-site has shown some improvement in the Republican Party site traffic as
has Political Vine, another Republican site.
But the message of the week is not one that the politically correct will like! As far as internet interest in Georgia,
there is a clear message. The SP of Georgia continues to sweep these rankings and the Boycott Coke and Let Us Vote sites
have advanced to 2nd and 3rd place. So when the PC types tell you that everybody has forgotten, just smile and let
them continue believing it.
Still nothing in this update that the Politically Correct want to hear!
