Press Release from:  Jim Cabaniss, President of American Veterans
Standing For God and Country, a project of American Veterans In Domestic Defense

Most Americans remember the scene at the Alabama State Supreme Court Building on August 27, 2003. On that day, federal authorities instructed the removal of the 2.5 ton Ten Commandment Monument from the beautiful rotunda to a dark storage closet.  This made most Americans angry.

Today we are moving the Monument out of the darkness into the light.  The American Veterans Standing For God and Country have reached an agreement with Chief Justice Roy Moore to take possession of this beautiful monument and display it across America from city to city on its way to our Nation's Capital. Most Veterans have great respect for Chief Justice Moore.  He is a Veteran, a West Point Graduate, a great Constitutional and Biblical Scholar.

He stood on his oath, even to the point of giving up his job as the top Judicial Authority in the State of Alabama.  We know there must something wrong in America when an appointed federal judge has the power to tell a duly elected State Supreme Court Judge that he cannot acknowledge God and thus fulfill his oath of office.

Starting July 31, Veterans will support rallies by displaying this Ten Commandment Monument from coast to coast.  Those Veterans wishing to join in this cause may post their comments and offer their assistance at www.StandingforGod.org or by calling American Veterans in Houston at 281-591-4705.

Information on the Ten Commandments:
For obeying the Ten Commandments, we are promised blessings, see Deut 11:20-27.
Verse 26, "Behold, I set before you a blessing, and a curse:
Verse 27, "The blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your
God ...

We are required to obey and display the Ten Commandments in our homes. Deut 6:9, "And thou shalt write
them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates ..."   Part of the obeying the commandments is to
display them so that we know what they are.
From www.Ten-Commandments.us

Requirement to Display Ten Commandments in public

We are also commanded to put them in public places.  The word "gates" of Deuteronomy 6:9 refers to public places.  For example, in Ruth 4:11, Boaz went to talk to the elders in the "Gates" to obtain permission to marry Ruth and obtain the rights to her land inheritance. Other passages likewise demonstrate this as well,  I Kings 22:10, Ps 127:5, Deut 14:27-28, Deut 25:7-8, and Ps 24:7. Our forefathers have obeyed the
command to publicly post the Ten Commandments on our gates (public places), and have done so in over 2800 public places across the United States alone, and many more in Europe.  No other verse or passage of scripture is displayed in public places (Courthouses, parks, city halls) like the Ten Commandments are. The Ten Commandments are the only passage of scripture that we are told to display in public.

TEN COMMANDMENTS RESTORATION ACT, A bill proposed by Judge Roy Moore

THE MOST IMPORTANT legislation of our lifetime, drafted by Chief Justice Roy Moore, would prevent federal judges from hearing cases involving acknowledgments of God and cases that would restrict the display of the Ten Commandments. It is co-sponsored in the Senate by Senators Richard Shelby and Zell Miller, and also co-sponsored in the House by 116 Congressmen. Article 3 of the Constitution, allows Congress to restrict the federal courts.

Our Constitution clearly allows the Congress to restrict what the courts can rule on. To sign the petition Click Here http://helpsaveamerica.com  For additional information visit www.morallaw.org
