TEN COMMANDMENTS-GA PRESS RELEASE
9/5/07
Second Historical
Display Goes Up
The second "Foundations of
American Law & Government Display" has gone up in Hartwell, Georgia
. The first display went up in Odum, Ga. in June of this year. The
2nd state law approved historical display was up in time for the
city council's September meeting. The display was unveiled in the
city court room where traffic court and city council meetings are
held. It was purchased by a group of citizens and given to the city
in response to the councils vote during the regular May 2006
meeting. At that meeting the council voted unanimously to display
the documents if a set where given to the city.
On July 1, 2006, Gov. Sonny Perdue signed into law H.B. 941

authorizing local governments to erect historical displays that
include a copy of the Ten Commandments. These displays pave the way
for communities to further educate their citizens regarding
historical facts about our country's founding.
Ten Commandments Georgia congratulates the City of Hartwell for
taking this historical step in being one of the first municipalities
to take advantage of this new law to educate its citizens.
These historical documents are being made available through the
ministry of Ten Commandments GA, Inc. This is a great opportunity
for private citizens, churches, civic clubs and organizations to
purchase these documents and to present them for approval to their
local governing boards, commissions and councils.
TC-GA has beautifully designed to legal specifications the nine
piece historical display. You may view these unique designs by
